On March 19, 2022 I had the pleasure of covering Minnesota United against the San Jose Earthquakes for USA Today Sports. The game was a huge improvement from the first home game of the season which was delayed due to thunderstorms. See the full game recap on USA Today's website.

On March 19, 2022, Minnesota United hosted the San Jose Earthquakes in their fourth game of the year. The Loons came into the game 1-0-2 having played to a draw in their first two games of the year before defeating the Red Bulls in New York the previous Saturday.

Minnesota's Luis Amarilla chipped a ball over the head of San Jose goaltender, JT Marcinkowski, to score the game's only goal 32 minutes into the game.\

With the win, Minnesota improves to 2-0-2 and has eight points and currently sits in second place in the Western conference behind Salt Lake.
