Ever since the ill-planned fated of the WCHA, and the generations old rivalries that made the WCHA tournament an annual pilgrimage for hockey fans from here to the West Coast, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has been building up the traditions and void left in the wake of the WCHA’s breakup.

The 2020 NCHC Frozen Faceoff will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. on Mar. 20-21. Find everything Frozen Faceoff here.

The NCHC is home to three of the top ten teams in the country including, North Dakota, University of Minnesota, Duluth and Denver. Last year’s Frozen Four championship game was a battle between St. Cloud State and University of Minnesota, Duluth that resulted in a double overtime win for Duluth, punching their ticket to the national championships, which they would eventually win, defeating UMass.
