Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison retires as a Viking

After an eleven year career, Brian Robison returned to the Vikings, signing a one day contract on April 24 so that he can retire as a Minnesota Viking.

Through his career Robison was a force to be reckoned with tallying 60 sacks over his 173 game career. His signature sack dance, a puzzle to the uninitiated, saw his helmeted #96 frame “reeling” in the quarterback.

His one-time teammate, Brett Favre, sent him a nice note yesterday.

The picture above is from Brian Robison giving the defensive line of the Lions grief in the final game played in the Metrodome on Dec. 29, 2013.

When not on the field, he is an avid fisherman. In fact, on his foundation’s web page, Robison idolized ” professional anglers and fisherman.”

You can follow him on Twitter @brian_robison and on Instagram @brianrobison96.

Thank you for the memories and good luck on your fishing career.
