Minnesota dancers Ellie & Ava Wagner melt hearts in World of Dance Finale

Hailing from the famed Larkin Dance Studio, whose #larkinlegacy moniker runs through the culture, made that legacy proud. To them, the legacy is especially close to home as they are the great granddaughters of the founder of Larkin Dance Studios in Maplewood. Their grandmother, Michele Larkin-Wagner, and their aunt, Molly Larkin-Symanietz, run the studio now.

The Wagner sisters placed third in the world finals episode of World of Dance, which aired on May 5, 2019 on NBC. They dance as one on the stage and brought the judges to their feet. See their dance below.

Minnesota Dance News photographer Matt Blewett caught up with the Wagners at Larkin a few weeks ago. Michele beamed as she talked of the dancers. They, along with The Trilogy, are carrying on her mother’s legacy and making Larkin and Minnesota proud as they take on dancers from around the world.
