In addition to being a much anticipated annual meeting, the border battle between the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Wisconsin Badgers is the nation’s longest uninterrupted college football (FBS Division 1) rivalry. The showdown will be fought over the coveted six foot Paul Bunyan’s Axe and the school’s have played to an all-time 60-60-8 record over the course of the rivalry.

On hand, likely creating a chaotic scene on campus, will be College Gameday, which is finally making a trip to the Gopher state to witness a border battle between two top 15 ranked schools for the opportunity to advance to the Big Ten title game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Dec. 7.

Leading up to this game, Minnesota fans have witnessed a turnaround in the program that, just 3 years ago, was picking up the pieces of an almost wholesale coaching turnover among other distractions in the athletic department.

With the persistence and intensity of the energizer bunny, Gophers’ head coach P.J. Fleck has instilled in his team the “Row The Boat” culture and has the entire roster working together as a unit. Possibly more importantly has been the mental fortitude and mindset instilled in the student athletes, believing that they can beat anyone together and holding each other accountable.

Head out to the Northrop Mall on the University of Minnesota campus starting at 8 AM to witness College Gameday. Questions about game day schedule (and parking), click here.

Check back after the game for exclusive photos and insights from the game. and festivities.
